Geoff Lawton is an internationally renowned permaculture educator, consultant and practitioner. Since 1985, Geoff has designed and implemented permaculture projects in 30 countries for private individuals and groups, communities, governments, aid organizations, and multinational corporations. Geoff has produced, and continues to produce, more Permaculture teachers than any other graduate of the Permaculture Design Course. Nadia Abu Yahia Lawton was born and raised in the Jordan Valley, in one of the lowest and driest places on earth. Nadia first learned traditional ways of land use from her father, a farmer and herbal healer. She completed her PDC with Geoff Lawton in Jordan and went on to complete a Permaculture Diploma in Education and Site Design. Nadia regularly travels with Geoff for aid project and permaculture consulting work and assists in teaching permaculture design courses.

July 4- Claude Genest, deputy leader of the Green Party of Canada.

Claude is the founder of the Green Mountain Permaculture Institute where he teaches earth repair and ecological design. Claude is also the creator, producer and host of "Regeneration - The Art of Sustainable Living". In April 2008, Claude Genest became one of the first 200 Canadians to be trained by Al Gore to be an official speaker for the An Inconvenient Truth lecture.

June 28- Christopher Nyerges- Since 1974, Christopher Nyerges has taken over 30,000 children and adults on Wild Food and Survival Skills Outings, field trips and outdoor programs. Christopher is the author of seven books, including Guide to Wild Foods and Useful Plants, Urban Wilderness, Extreme Simplicity: Homesteading in the City, and How to Survive Anywhere.   Christopher is the editor of Wilderness Way magazine.
